Speed Printing and ink technology is of essence for printers in present times to meet high volume, print on demand and durability. At a recent event in Tel Aviv, Israel, HP launched Inkjet Web Press printer to print upto 2,600 A4-sized colour pages per minute. HP also showed a web press able to print on pages up to 76.2 cm wide.
Developed by HP and HP Labs, formulated Latex Ink provides durability, colour, and retains shine even under extreme snow and rain exposure, making it useful for large-format media used on billboards and outdoor signs. Ink is 70% water and 30% additives and other inks. HP’s other printing technology for large-format media include UV-curable ink, which interacts with ultra-violet light source to create print.
